The Board of Directors of NeuString consists of:
Keith Willetts, Chairman
Mr. Willetts is Chairman and founder of the TM Forum. He is also a board member and advisor to a number of other companies. His experience working with service providers; software companies and consulting firms have given him a very rounded view of the industry and he is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities on the business management of services and networks. His achievements have been internationally recognized and for the past 3 years he has been voted in the Top 100 most influential people in the communications industry; awarded the GTB lifetime achievement award for his leadership of the Forum; honored twice in the Communications Week “Top 25” awards for industry visionaries; awarded the British Computer Society’s Gold Medal for innovation; the BT Gold Medal for innovation as well as authoring the influential book, “The Lean Communications Provider.
Stephen Newton, Board member
Mr. Newton is a non-executive director and investor in NeuString. Mr. Newton works and invests in VC backed technology companies predominantly in the Telecoms space. Notable investments include Datanomic, recently sold to Oracle Corp, and OpenCloud. He is also an honorary ambassador for the TM Forum, and was previously President, EMEA at Convergys Corporation (NYSE - CVG), where he had overall responsibility for their billing and customer care business in EMEA and ASPAC. Prior to Convergys, he was COO Geneva Technology, a Cambridge UK based billing software company. As a member of their senior management team, he was responsible for executing the company strategy, achieving compound growth of 120% per annum, to $50m revenues, and 450 people from product launch. Geneva was acquired by Convergys in 2001 for $692m.
Steen Boas Andersen, Board member
Mr. Boas Andersen has more than 20 years of national and international operational and business management experiences from the IT and mobile telecom industry working for companies like IBM, Oracle and Nokia Networks/Nokia Siemens Networks. At Nokia he was responsible for a variety of senior management positions ranging from Sales Director UK & France, Country Manager Denmark & South Africa, General Manager for Nokia’s “entry solutions” to the MEA region. Mr. Boas Andersen is specialized in sales & sales management, customer relations, strategy reformation, marketing and business development and implementation. He was a key contributor to establishing Nokia’s successful business in Scandinavian and other new emerging markets. Steen holds an engineering degree from the Engineering College of Copenhagen and PED from IMD, Lausanne Switzerland.
Izzat Abou-Amarah, Board member
Mr. Abou-Amarah holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Business Administration (2000) and an MSc. in Electrical Engineering(2002) both from Boston University. Form September 2000 to May 2002, was an Applications Engineer in the high resolution 16-bit Analog-to-Digital Converters Unit at Analog Devices in Massachusetts, USA where he was responsible for generating the data sheets as well as the evaluation boards for customers. From September 2002 to April 2005, was a Project Manager with Al-Fawares Group (Universal Media) which developed multiple VAS platforms in Kuwait and in the region. Joined NTEC in April 2005 and is currently Assisstant Vice President of Investments heading the ICT team, where he is involved in sourcing, identifying and evaluating investment opportunities as well as follow up on the performance of NTEC’s existing ICT portfolio.
Jens Nikolaj Aertebjerg, Board member, CEO and Co-founder.
Mr. Aertebjerg is CEO and board member of NeuString. He is responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction and for execution on NeuString’s vision to “Optimise the Value of Every Mobile Transaction Worldwide”. Prior to co-founding NeuString, Mr. Aertebjerg was Senior Vice President of MACH, the world’s largest Mobile Roaming Clearing House, responsible for Product Management, Marketing, Consulting, Partnerships, and Project Resources. Previously, he has held various executive positions within telecoms and billing in Europe, and has been instrumental in establishing companies in Europe, Middle East and Asia. He is a global telecoms entrepreneur and experienced executive, and holds a Master of Science in Economics from University of Aarhus, Denmark.
